01 — The idea
Most people buy olive oil. We wanted to understand what makes a truly good olive oil.
Sebastian Lege has spent many years exploring food, its ingredients and how it is made. His search for real quality led him to Andalusia – to his friend Peter Silling and his family-run Finca Jardinillo.
That friendship sparked a shared idea: an olive oil without compromise.
Straight from the finca. Straight to your kitchen.

No compromises. No tricks. Just high-quality olives, careful craftsmanship and real flavour.
02 — The origin · Finca Jardinillo
In the hills of Andalusia, between Medina-Sidonia and Vejer de la Frontera in the province of Cádiz, the olives for LEGELAND grow. At the family-run Finca Jardinillo, the trees are carefully tended and the fruit is harvested at just the right time.
No industrial mass production. No long supply chains. Just high-quality olives and plenty of experience.

03 — Why Arbosana?
For our oil we use Arbosana olives only. This small fruit is known for its mild and balanced character.
Fruity notes meet delicate herbal aromas and a pleasant elegance.

04 — Cold extracted
<27°C Extraction below 27 °C
The olives are harvested on the finca at the optimal point of ripeness.
Straight after the harvest they go into processing – no long journeys.
Extraction takes place below 27 °C.
Mechanical processes only, with careful handling of the raw product.
Care over quantity.
The olives are processed straight after the harvest. Extraction takes place below 27 °C to preserve the aromas as well as possible. The result: an oil with character, freshness and depth.
05 — The LEGELAND system · Farm Box + Working Bottle
High-quality olive oil can lose quality through light, oxygen and heat. Yet it often sits open in pretty bottles next to the stove. Together with Peter Silling, we therefore developed a system inspired by professional kitchens.
The oil is kept in the inner bag of the 3-litre Farm Box – protected from light, ideally somewhere cool and dark.
Open the tap: a small amount flows through the tap in the barrel motif straight into the Working Bottle.
The Working Bottle is your everyday tool at the stove: precise dosing, clean working.
When it's empty, simply refill it at the tap.
Less light.
The Farm Box protects your supply from light.
Less air.
The inner bag contracts as you dispense, and day to day you only open the small Working Bottle. Used as intended, this is meant to reduce your supply's contact with air.
More flavour.
So good oil tastes the way it should – down to the last drop.

Owner · Finca Jardinillo
Has run Finca Jardinillo with his family since 2020. This is where the Arbosana olives for LEGELAND grow.
This olive oil wasn't created in a meeting room. It grew out of shared conversations, shared meals and a shared belief:
Good food doesn't need tricks. Just time. Passion. And the best ingredients.

10 — Questions & answers
From Finca Jardinillo in Benalup-Casas Viejas in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia (Spain). Peter Silling has run it with his family since 2020. The olives come from the finca's own harvest.
Arbosana is a small olive with a mild, balanced character. Fruity notes meet delicate herbal aromas. For LEGELAND we use Arbosana olives only.
Extraction takes place at temperatures below 27 °C. As with every extra virgin olive oil, the oil is obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means.
Light, oxygen and heat can affect the quality of olive oil. The Farm Box protects the 3-litre supply from light. The oil sits in an inner bag with a tap that contracts as you dispense. Day to day you only open the small Working Bottle – used as intended, this is meant to reduce your supply's contact with air.
You fill a small amount into the Working Bottle at the Farm Box tap and use it every day at the stove. The nozzle lets you dose the oil precisely. When it's empty, simply refill it.
Cool, dry and away from light – so not right next to the stove or on a sunny windowsill. The Farm Box protects your supply from light.
Yes, that's exactly what it's made for: the Working Bottle is refilled again and again at the Farm Box tap.
Thanks to its mild, balanced character it complements dishes rather than overpowering them – for example in salads and dressings, to finish vegetables, fish and pasta, or simply with good bread.
